Javier Vazquez struck out 11 batters as the Anarchy City Chaos beat the SSB
SSB Tar Heels by a score of 7 to 1.
The home town fans were very appreciative of the fine hitting performance
provided by Todd Helton. He caught a hold of a fastball for a Grand Slam
homerun in the 3rd inning and laced a one-base hit in the 5th inning.
Anarchy City ended up with 10 hits for the game while SSB had 4.
Vazquez(3-4) went 7 innings allowing 1 run for the win. Jeremy Guthrie(2-3)
was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 5 hits and 2 walks in 2
innings.
When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Vazquez offered, 'The fan's
really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up
there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy tonight - of course, it
would be all for naught without the 'W'.'
